September 2020
Six months into the covid-19 experience, buyers and sellers are still concerned about what the state of the real estate market is now, and what will it be in the future. All indications as of September 2020 are that the market has fluctuated in response to the pandemic, but that real estate in Orange County is strong and stable. In my opinion, although inventory is low, it is a good time to buy as homeowners make lifestyle changes in response to economic factors. If history is any indication, and we know that it is, Orange County fared very well in the real estate slump of 2008, losing significantly less value and standing than surrounding counties in Southern California.
