Learn More About Irvine
As a real estate broker and lawyer, my main job, is to provide pertinent information to potential buyers and sellers regarding proposed real estate transactions. For a buyer in Irvine, this is a very easy job. Before you begin searching for properties, it is valuable to learn more about the community, and factors that would influence your decision.
I don’t just research Irvine and provide data for you to consider in your buying decision. It is personal to me. I have lived in Irvine for over 20 years, I raised my daughter in Irvine, and enjoyed the lifestyle immensely. I know first hand why Irvine provides an outstanding life, whether you are single or you are raising a family. Here are the factors that were important to me, and statistically, appear to be the main considerations for most residents when they make the decision to move to Irvine.
Regardless of your age or status in life, everyone wants to live in a safe community, with low crime. That is a given. You want to be safe, and feel that your children and family members are safe in the community. For that information, I don’t just provide local statistics from the police department, but rather, consider the FBI’s Annual Uniform Crime report.
This report measures Part I crime, which includes murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny-theft, auto theft and arson. Consistently, for a city with 250,000+ in population, Irvine has exhibited outstanding results; read more here.
The second most common reason that I find buyers inquiring about Irvine is the fact that the schools in the Irvine Unified School District are outstanding in measured categories, and have been for decades. In the 2018-19 Best School Districts report, IUSD came in on top in Orange County based on a variety of factors including state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores and teacher quality. (96% of students graduate, and the average SAT score is 1360.) You can read about IUSD rankings here, Buyers from all over the world come to Irvine to obtain an education for their children. Additionally, Irvine is home to the renowned University of California, Irvine, as well as outstanding community colleges.
